Yabbying

Location:  Columboola EEC

This environmental education program focuses on the 'Yabby'. Students learn about basic characteristics of the common yabby including external features, habitat, adaptations, feeding, breeding, life cycle, water quality requirements and indigenous connections.

At the centre, students are allowed to participate in the catch and release of yabbies to observe and examine the external features of yabbies.
