Duration: 1.5 hours
Years: Year 4-12
This problem solving and teamwork activity requires students in small groups to use basic materials (poles, rope and slings) to construct a catapult.
Students are taught some basic knot tying skills, as well as given the to opportunity to work on their personal and social capabilities.
This device, once constructed, is suitable for firing appropriate projectiles towards targets.
