Duration: 2 hours
Years: 4-12
Location: Columboola EEC and offsite
Using basic materials, simple knots and lashings plus loads of initiative and teamwork, students are invited to construct a raft suitable for ferrying their group across a body of water.
This is a great activity for developing group problem solving skills, especially decision making and communication skills. Rafting is offered subject to water availability and is often used during the hotter months of the year and in conjunction with canoeing to deliver a day of aquatics activities within a camp program.
Transport to and from the water site could be required for this activity. Check with Columboola staff for confirmation.
