At Columboola Environmental Education Centre we aim to provide quality environmental education experiences for a wide range of client groups. Experiences offered to visiting groups are aimed at enhancing visitors knowledge, skills and appreciation of the natural and social environment, both here at Columboola and the wider community.
Columboola EEC is an Education Queensland Centre that is staffed by a Principal, two fulltime teachers, unit support officer, business manager and cleaner. The Centre can offer full program support for up to 75 students. Our expert teaching team will run activities such as water ecology, canoeing, orienteering, high and low ropes, problem solving and team building to name a few. A full list of activities can be found under the Programs tab.
Programs are designed in consultation with visiting staff and are linked to the National Curriculum across the strands of personal and social capabilities, science, outdoor learning and art.
Columboola EEC can facilitate programs either on site at Columboola EEC, offsite at approved locations and day 'incursions' at your school. In the past we have provided support in programs such as at Carnarvon Gorge, Noosa Everglades, and across South West Queensland.
Our aim is to deliver quality educational programs for our client schools and develop productive partnerships through excellence in outdoor and environmental education. If you have any queries please contact us.
Columboola is unique. Your experience here will be memorable. Don’t miss out!
