Clothing (old clothing)
This is a general list. Certain items will depend on your planned activities.
- **Wide brim hat
- Collared shirts
- Long pants / Jeans / Shorts
- Socks
- Underwear
- Warm jacket / Jumper
- Pyjamas / Tracksuit (sleepwear in Winter)
- Raincoat
- Swimming costume (for water activities)
- Suitable sun smart covering e.g. rashie, must be worn by all visitors
- Sock covers (stop prickles)
- Warm clothes for winter camps
** Due to the outdoor nature of the program,
sun protection is of utmost importance. Singlets and sleeveless tops are unsuitable for camp.
Footwear
- 2 pairs of well-worn joggers (1 pair to be worn if canoeing/rafting)
- Reef sandals / thongs for shower times
Bedding
- Pillow
- Sleeping bag / sheet and blanket
- Extra blankets in Winter
Swags may be used at the Centre if the visiting school manages their use at the tent area. Ask your teacher first.
Toiletries
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Soap / Shampoo / Roll-on deodorant
- Towels x2
- Brush / comb
- Insect repellent - roll-on (no aerosols)
- **Sunscreen preferably 30+**
Miscellaneous
- **Water bottle
- Garbage bag for dirty / wet clothes
- Small torch and extra batteries
Important information
**For health and safety reasons, everyone must have a hat, a full water bottle and have applied sunscreen prior to each activity.**
Make sure all items are clearly marked with student's name. CEEC does not accept responsibility for valuable items that may be misplaced, therefore electronics are not recommended on camp.
DO NOT bring
Lollies, soft drinks, biscuits, chewing gum or potato chips (they attract ants and vermin into tents)
Pressure-pack/Aerosol sprays.
IMPORTANT: Due to Workplace Health and Safety issues, it is the policy of the Columboola Environmental Education Centre that drink bottles, cups and/or other utensils MUST NOT be shared with any other person to prevent cross infections.
